
Richard Knight
Richard qualified in 1996 and joined Chester practice, Aaron & Partners, where he worked for 4 years before moving on to join the commercial property team at DWF in Liverpool. Richard left DWF in 2003 to join Perkins in Manchester where he became a Partner in 2005. Richard has considerable
expertise in acting for property developers in connection with site
acquisitions and subsequent plot sales. He also acts on behalf of a number of lenders in dealing with secured funding work.
Originating from South Wales, Richard now lives in Mold with his wife and two young children. His interests include rugby and listening to rock music.
Suzanne McGoldrick
Suzanne qualified in 2000, having completed her training contract with Aaron & Partners in Chester. Suzanne moved to the commercial property department of DWF in Liverpool before moving to niche firm, WDL Solicitors, Chester in 2003. In 2005, Suzanne joined Bowcock Cuerden, Nantwich as an Associate Solicitor. Suzanne has gained considerable experience in a range of commercial property transactions, including sales and purchases of industrial, office and retail sites, and landlord & tenant work. Suzanne has also acted on behalf of developers and landowners in connection with wind farm projects
Suzanne is a keen sportswoman and
regularly plays squash, 5-a-side football. She is a keen
Evertonian and also enjoys listening to rock and folk music,
attending concerts, hill walking and travelling.
Tony Williams
Tony is an advocate specialising
in environmental, local government and information law.
He was the Chief Solicitor at Milton Keynes Council and Under
Secretary at the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He
has been featured in the Legal 500, for his punch at
inquiries, and the Directory of Legal Experts. He has conducted
major public inquiries including the Buckinghamshire Minerals Plan,
the Milton Keynes Local Plan and Wales’s
first unitary Development Plan.
He was the solicitor
in the two leading Court of Appeal mineral cases,
including the successful “Earthline 2042” case.
He lectures on planning and local government law and has
been a post grad examiner for RICS
Gary Bell
Gary qualified in 1994 whilst working for Aaron and
Partners in Chester. He then worked for two large regional
practices before joining Kuit Steinart Levy in 2004 where
he became an associate in 2007.
Gary works as a consultant
to KnightMcGoldrick and has considerable expertise in development
projects, landlord and tennant, secured lending and a wide
range of commercial property transactions.
Gary is married with two children and lives in Chester.
He is a keen golfer and enjoys playing the guitar and watching
football.
Samantha Jones
Samantha qualified as a Fellow of
the Institute of Legal Executives in 2005 after completing
a training period with Shropshire County Council and private
practice where she dealt with residential and commercial
property matters. Following a period of foreign travel
and a return to work at local government, she relocated to
Chester to join Knight McGoldrick.
Samantha attends Chester
College of Law as a part time student and is enrolled on
the Legal Practice Course which will lead to her qualifying
as a solicitor in 2010. Sam is responsible for dealing
with the firm’s
residential conveyancing work but also assists the other
fee earners with aspects of their work, in particular Planning
work. Her main interests are travelling, antiques and scuba
diving.
Paul Brimelow
A solicitor with over thirty years’ experience in the Law, Paul joined the firm in August 2009 and is a specialist in Litigation. IHe has spent almost the whole of his career in city centre practices in Manchester and Liverpool and has been involved in and is presently instructed in a variety of cases. Most recently he has developed a particular interest in consumer credit and legal aspects of financial miss-selling but has also been involved in representation in the House of Lords on a case involving women’s rights, and other cases at the Court of Appeal. Paul represented the victim in the first rape case which was the subject of a successful Judicial Review in the High Court after the refusal by the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority to pay Compensation.
Paul is the co-author of a legal text book on Mortgage Possession Actions and is a presenter of Continuing education courses for Solicitors. |
